Protein candy with quinoa, chia and almond butter

These candies combine plant-based protein, fiber and healthy fats to provide steady energy and satiety between meals. They are ideal as a post-workout snack or a little energy boost during the day.

These protein candies are designed to nourish the body with pure and wholesome ingredients, without added sugars or artificial additives. Quinoa provides complete plant protein with all essential amino acids and promotes long-lasting satiety. Chia seeds add omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants that support heart and brain health. Almond oil and raw almonds supply the body with vitamin E and magnesium - key for muscle function and recovery after exercise. Honey brings a natural sweetness and contains polyphenols with proven antioxidant effects, while cinnamon supports stable blood sugar levels and adds a pleasantly warming aroma.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 g cooked quinoa
  • 60 g almond butter (natural, no added sugar)
  • 30 g raw almonds, finely ground
  • 15 g chia seeds
  • 20 g honey
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, mix the quinoa, ground almonds and chia seeds.
  2. In a separate pot, gently heat the almond butter with the honey until it is liquid and well blended.
  3. Add the cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  5. Form into balls of about 25 g and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
