INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Juice of 1 small lemon
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp red pepper (paprika)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 salmon fillets (about 170 g each)
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, cut into rounds
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- In a medium bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, black pepper and chili flakes.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat two tablespoons of olive oil, then add the salmon fillets, skin side down.
- Cook the salmon for 5-6 minutes until golden brown, then turn it over.
- Add the garlic to the pan and fry for 1 minute. Then add the honey mixture and lemon slices to the pan. Reduce the sauce until it becomes sticky.
- Pour the sauce over the salmon.
- Garnish with lemon slices if desired and serve.
Note: Refrigerate for up to 5 days in an airtight container.
