Derja Hussain attended the 9th International Congress of Nutritionists in Zagreb, Croatia.
In Zagreb, during D. Hussein, she stressed the critical importance of tracking changes in body composition throughout the different stages of life, as well as in the context of diseases and chronic conditions. Tracking body composition offers unique insights that go beyond traditional metrics such as weight and BMI. It has the ability to inform interventions that support patient health outcomes, particularly in areas such as chronic disease management, aging, and optimizing recovery after illness or surgery. By advancing research and clinical applications in this area, we have the potential to reimagine the way we approach health, well-being and patient care on a global scale.
